Dodford Children's Farm staying secure with new security upgrades

Security experts, Champion Security Installations Ltd, came to the rescue of Worcestershire charity, the Dodford Children’s Farm, when they identified a need to upgrade their security.

The Farm, which was founded in 1950, offers a unique countryside experience for disadvantaged children from across the Midlands. With a variety of farmyard animals in residence, including ponies, donkeys, pigs, sheep, rabbits, guniea pigs, ducks and chickens, it is a fantastic way for children to intereact with these animals in a safe and protected environment.

Providing a safe environment for visitors to the Farm is essential, as is ensuring the safety and protection of all staff and animals on site.

“Safeguarding of our children is absolutely paramount,” says Kelly Broadfield, Resident Warden at Dodford Children’s Farm. “In addition it is important that our staff and animals are kept safe also, particularly as we are in a somewhat remote rural location.”

However, as the Farm is a charity it meant that there was very little surplus cash available for investing in security or IT. And this is where Champion were able to help out.

“They provided a full on-site audit for us, and provided motion detetection security cameras at key points around the farm. All free of charge – we were absolutely delighted!” says Kelly.

The new high-tech security solution, which was installed before lockdown restrictions took place, can be accessed via an app for maximum flexibility and is incredibly easy to use. “We are so grateful to Champion for assisting us – the new cameras have made a big difference in helping to keep our Farm safe and secure for all of our visitors, staff and our animal friends.”
