Champion Security embarks on an exciting new chapter with Árón Taylor-Smith for the 2023 British Touring Car Championship.
Champion Security, one the UK’s leading experts in security systems, embarks on an exciting new chapter in the companies history as they join forces with Árón Taylor-Smith for the 2023 British Touring Car Championship.
The Worcestershire based company who specialise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of electronic security system solutions for both residential and commercial premises are today happy to announce a partnership which will see the company work with one of the leading drivers in the British Touring Car Championship, Árón Taylor-Smith. Taylor-Smith, a multiple BTCC race winner, has recently announced his plans for the 2023 season that will see him change teams to race for Power Maxed Racing.
Taylor-Smith commented: “I met with both Dorian and Alex and I was blown away by what they have achieved with Champion Security. There was an instant synergy due to the husband and wife duo within the company and how they emphasis providing an excellent service to all of their clients. This ethos echoes exactly what my wife and I have created within the BTCC and it gives me a huge sense of pride to represent such a like-minded company.”
One of the major moves of the BTCC off-season is Taylor-Smith’s change of teams as he joins the formidable team that is Power Maxed Racing. They have an outstanding pedigree within the series, accumulating a huge amount of success over the years and with 2023 set to be another nail biter the change could not have come a better time for Taylor-Smith. The Irishman has accumulated twenty podiums during his successful career in the BTCC and to this day remains the only Irishman to win a race in the championship in over thirty years. The thirty-three year old debuted in the series in 2012 and won a race in his first season, immediately marking him as one to watch for the future. Taylor-Smith continued in the BTCC for a subsequent five years before taking a sabbatical to focus on a GT program throughout Europe. 2021 saw the fans favourite return to the BTCC for his seventh season to develop a brand new car and he did not disappoint upon his return to the championship and continued to build on this in 2022.
Taylor-Smith commented: “I honestly have never been this excited for the start of a season and honestly, it wouldn’t be possible without the support of Champion Security. The BTCC is fiercely competitive and I have always admired what Power Maxed Racing has achieved within the nations most widely followed championship. I know that we are in a very good place ahead of the start of our pre season testing and I’m itching to get back out on track.”
The anticipation is building for the start of the 2023 season, particularly off the back of last week’s announcement for Taylor-Smith. The Irishman will be one to watch this coming season as he once again takes on the nations best drivers with all eyes on returning to the illustrious podium with the change of team. The BTCC will be live once again on ITV throughout the course of the 2023 season with the Champion Security branding prominently displayed on Taylor-Smith’s helmet for the twenty plus million viewers to see. Another key aspect of the Champion Security BTCC program will see both staff and clients having the opportunity to be trackside throughout the 2023 season as the championship ventures nationwide.
Dorian Dentith commented: “We have long been fans of the BTCC and we knew that it would be a great fit for our company as soon as we met with Árón. My wife and I have built our company based on trust and integrity to our loyal client base and it is very clear that is how Árón runs his BTCC program. The commercial benefits of having our logo on view for millions to see is incredible but to have the opportunity to be trackside with Árón over the course of the year is something that we are excited beyond belief about.”
All teams are in the final stages of preparation ahead of preseason testing with just less than eight weeks to go until the season opener at Donington Park on April 23rd.
Be sure to keep an eye on both the Champion Security and Taylor-Smith’s social media channels over the next few weeks to be kept up to date on all things BTCC related ahead of the first race weekend.
